We are not experts in all of these, but Voice in Sport has a catalog of resources, experts and mentors who can help address these topics head on and provide relatable and real-life tips for our players in a safe space.” Outside of the free membership and the extra opportunities NCFC Youth is providing, players can opt to elevate their membership to access additional resources. “We know that girls face unique challenges in their development – from dealing with bodily changes and caring for your body, to confidence, mental health, and anxiety, to everything in between. “We are excited to offer our girls players this extra layer of support and development off the field,” said Katharine Eberhardt, Chief Marketing & Development Officer. NCFC Youth will be working with our program directors, coaches, and players to understand more about what they want to learn and from whom (health expert, pro athlete, college athlete, etc.).
Session topics could be related to mind, body, nutrition, sleep, advocacy, and/or journey in sport. In addition, NCFC Youth will host private large group sessions throughout the year at no additional cost to players. All eligible NCFC Youth girls players (age 13+) across all programs will be invited to join VIS, which operates a free platform that will give our girls players access to VIS podcasts, VIS articles, community forum, peer discussions, digital journals, vision boards, and mentoring/group sessions with VIS trained experts and athletes across all of sports. VIS is a safe online space for girls and women (ages 13-23) in sport.
NCFC Youth is excited to team up with Voice in Sport (VIS), a global sports company that provides girls and women in sport access to trained experts in sport psychology, sports nutrition, and women-specific health, as well as mentorship from college and professional athletes, and educational content written by women athletes.
